Were going getting this job done fairly soon. Total cost will be E6/7 k. That big green yoke is going in along with the usual extras of distrubition system, per colation. (sorry for the spelling mistakes there) Anything to watch out for/useful information regards this?

Just that replacing a septic tank with a new treatment system and percolation area needs planning permission and the overall design of the system is dependent on the recommendations of a site assessor following a full on site characterisation and tests. Just follow the recommendations and all should be well.

My suggestion is that you research carefully, maintenance contracts once your system is up and running.
My system is in place about 10 yrs, very reputable Co, and I pay a yearly maintenance Fee
A couple of times most recently after the heavy rain last month, I had to get them out.
The Engineer replaced pump, and other aspects which had failed, and at no cost to me.
Reading other threads, maintenance costs on some systems seem to be at the expense of the householder, and if its a major fault, lots of costs. Mine includes an annual inspection and replacment of filters etc.
My Fee is a couple of hundred a year, and everything is covered, including Certification under whatever new Regulations are on the way according to recent letters from the Co.The only additional cost I have faced was de-sludging after 7/8 yrs, and that was a simple enough job.
