i signed a contract at work which stated that i start on 14th august but i actually didn't start until a week later. I have a three month probation period. is that three months up now since the start date in the contract was 14th or is it next week?
how much notice if any do you have to give to someone on probation?
it says on the contract that the probation period can be extended. how is this made official. can they just say at any time that the probation was extended?

    another question!!
i still have not been paid my monthly salary that was due on the 30th october as per my contract.
they say that the money is just not there.
Is there anything that i can do about that?

What do they mean the money isn't there? If there's no money there to pay wages I wouldn't be hanging around, time to leave the job and get legal advice on how to get your unpaid wages.

nobody in the company has been paid their october wages yet.

everyone has been told they will have to wait another week or two because the money is just not there! They don't seem to care that people have bills due and mrtgages etc!

What steps can be taken by the employees in this situation?

Sounds like the company is in danger of going under and added to the long list of companies in receivership. Start looking for a new job imho.
