Back up for iphone4

    I bought an iphone 4s yesterday after my iphone 4 was stolen. I connected it to my laptop and opened iTunes thinking that all my old apps etc would immediately transferred over .. but nothing ! It just acted like a completely new iphone and started from the beginning.

    Why would this happen ? Is there any way of retrieving all my old stuff? :mad:

    Did you back up your old iPhone4?

    When setting up the 4s you should get too options set up as a new iPhone or restore from the back up of,,,,,,,,,,,iPhone.Make sure your on the same pc/Mac that the iPhone 4 was synced to then up in the top of iTunes I think in file or advanced not sure off top of my head ,click authorize this pc/iPhone which ever is there then go back to the menu on left right your phone then try restore from the last back up again.

    Yeah think i did back it up. It did give me an option to restore when i turned on the new iphone but nothing happened and I had to re-register on itunes. Very annoying.
