    THE BUSINESS in DUBLIN

    UK Oi/Street Punks original gangsters come to Dublin for one night only on December 10th 2011 in The Grand Social on Liffey Street.

    Formed in 1979 and still relevant today The Business have crossed multiple genres within the punk world, from being on the cutting edge of the british punk scene, pioneering the Oi movement and even involving themselves in the New York Hardcore scene, The Business have and can do it all.

    Support on the night comes from the one and only Woppy, Tanko and Mocker. PRIMITIVO.

    No tickets, no bull****. First come, first served. Doors are 8pm and we'll gladly take 15 Euro off you.

    No good venue turfs the crowd out so they can have a nightclub from 11pm.

    Who wouldn't? I do think it's a tad pricey though, to be fair, especially when you aren't doing tickets, which is a pain for attendees. Why does it cost so much?

    I'd imagine The Business want a fair few quid for the gig and one of the promoters wants to get paid

    I've changed my mind, this is a total rip off price, The Business are a working class band and I'm sure they don't charge this much at home...and don't give me the old boat/plane/accomadation ****, other UK bands come over and play for far cheaper.
    Any Demented promotion is over the top for pricing...:mad:

    Bands of similar stature GBH / Angelic Upstarts and Subhumans were each only 10 euros a gig and a far better and deeper support.

    I won't shed a tear, I love the Business but the promoters have no feel for Punk/Skinhead promotions.

    It's confirmed that it's cancelled. Apprently due to the Belfast gig getting cancelled making the whole trip financially unfeasable or something like that

    I was looking forward to this too and it's bloody disappointing news. Didn't know there was anyone left in the Banner county into real Oi and punk. I thought I was on my own like one of those Japanese soldiers found still defending his post on some remote island years after the war ended.

    Yeah its cancelled. We are having a special Oi! session at DAMAGED at Thomas House, Thomas Street on Friday from 8pm till late Free all night. Pitchers of Miller all night for 8 Euro!

    Been into the Punk/Oi stuff since nearly day 1,don't really listen to much else
