Hi guys. Anyone here have any clues on how to effectively market your art offline? I'm good at doing it online but fairly clueless offline. I got a ton of business cards recently and thinking of going into offices, galleries and shops and handing them to staff but I don't want to harass anyone either.

That can be a bit like cold calling for some people, the best way I've found to promote myself is to build up a relationship with someone first and they will carry you further. How to do this? volunteer do internships, get to conferences, lectures, join a studio or group even better set one up! apply for exhibitions socialise at art events and people will usually ask for your card or you can offer it, make sure you have a website or i know people who will not take you seriously without.
