Ok so i am heading up north in december. I normally go to newry every xmas for the day out and a shop,

But few people telling me to go to enniskillen that its better, so what do u think is?

I go up to get a food shop in sainsburys, drink for xmas, go clothes shopping and basically to have a nice day out with a bit of grub before heading home to dub,

So would Enniskillen be better for me to do the above?

    Advice please
    Thanks

It's an extra hour to Enniskillen. If it was me I'd go Lisburn, about 20 mins on from Newry if it's a large Sainsburys you are after, across from this is Sprucefield shopping centre http://www.sprucefieldcentre.co.uk then if you go in to Lisburn town centre there's http://www.bowstreetmall.co.uk/. If your after decent branded clothing I'd recommend going to Belfast instead, in particular going to http://www.victoriasquare.com/.

The food may be cheaper in Sainsburys but the drink in my experience no longer worth going up for, savings are tiny, I'd check the prices online before deciding to go http://www.sainsburys.co.uk/groceries/index.jsp.

I still think Newry is good for christmas shopping, if you check out the sainsburys website http://www.sainsburys.co.uk/groceries/index.jsp?bmUID=1321370846262 the special offers page has good offers., I seen a great deal on the kinect there at the weekend down to £95stg. The quays also has a large H&M store opening on the 24th November which would be worth a visit. Semichem always have good deals on toilettry sets and debenhams have good deals on the run up to Christmas.

Would definitely agree about not bothering with ASDA Enniskillen, was up there a couple of weeks ago for the first time, not much offers on in ASDA, they are far better in Sainsburys. Again as others have said, Sprucefield has a MUCH better Sainsburys than Newry although Newry is better for Clothes as it has Buttercrane and The Quays. Enjoy your shop whatever you decide:D

My parents live near Enniskillen so I go there a bit and always hit ASDA. But there isn't a whole lot else to be honest. The shopping centre is definitely better now but there is nothing up the town.

I like Newry and always visit Sainsbury but really, if you were thinking of Enniskillen instead of Newry, why not just go to Belfast? Some good shops in Belfast and you can get ASDA, Sainsbury and the (admittedly pretty rubbish now) Outlet centre on the way back.
