Cold Roof - Warm Roof

    For those starting new builds have any of you gone for warm roofs ? why ?

    Should warm roofs not be standard as this would avoid all those frozen tanks and pipes in the crawl space of the roof ?

    Is there much of a percentage price increase for going the warm roof method ?

    Surely it gives the house envelope a more air tight cover ?

    see here scroll down to 14.4 - do note that while these are exceptable details they do not show all the options or the required amount of insulation. or the fact that some breathable felts need to be double batten etc

    it can do if done correctly
