Broadband Options in Inverin, Connemara?

Hey, guys.

Looking at renting a house in Inverin, Connemara. One of the sticking points is decent internet access. I've been doing some reading on Boards.ie and a few other places, and I cannot get a grasp on what our options would be in Inverin if we decided to rent this house.

So, does anyone know off-hand what our options would be for broadband living in Inverin? I've come across a few companies, none of which looked even remotely close to what I've become accustomed to living in Galway City. I realize it's not possible to match the speeds of living in the city, but I am hoping there may be something available that at least APPROACHES some of the slower city speeds...without breaking the bank (and I suppose that is the kicker).

Stay away from onwave and any other satellite provider...
Imagine Wimax hasn't worked out much better either.

Does not list all the options in the Area,

LightHouse Networks are not listed, also missing is Airwire.

AirWire appeared to be quite expensive.

I thought DSL was available in Inverin, the typical Eircom or reseller fare.

Stay close to that and you will be fine. same as every rural area.

The house is within two kilometers of that, I'd say. Sounds like the people who built the house didn't have a phone line run in to the house, though. I'm wondering, then, if it's a matter of having a line run a loooooooooong distance, or if there is something already running down the little boreen that we'd just have to tie into.

Running in a phone line is free at present unless you are half a mile from the nearest pole. They would have to put in about 10 new poles before it would cost anything.

Even then it should be free....or €7,000+
