Working out take home pay

Is there a website that allows you to work out your take home pay after tax, usc etc?

I've been on JSB for a month, but I have a second interview for some part time work. While I'd be delighted to get the job - I also need to be practical as I have bills to pay.

I'd be working about 18 hours a week over 5 days on minimum wage. If I can even match my JSB of €188 a week I'll definitely take it, even though I'd be down the transport costs.

    Thank you...

    try here:

    www.taxcalc.ie

Pink fly, Try calling the revenue again, usually they are great over the phone. You shouldn't be paying PRSI or Income tax, as above you will have to pay USC.

Call reveune and ask for a statement of tax credits to be sent to your employer, also as for a P21 balancing statement for the last 4 years in case you have over paid. These will take a few weeks to come out, but if you are owed any money, the details will be sent to your employer and you should get the tax back.

The only way I can see that you could be paying tax is if you under paid when you started the job or you are married and your spouse had the lions share of the tax credits.

    Thanks very much

I'm recieving lone parents so nobody to share my credits with and it's only recently I've have been taxed ( since the budget changed)
I'll get on the phone tomorrow and try again
Sometimes it's 12 or 13 euro a week (depending on my hours) so any of it back would be amazing!!

If you wait till January then ask revenue for a balancing statement any over payment will be refunded in a lump sum.

I will close this (before the taxation forum finds out).
