Thanks, but how can I tell if my TV has MPEG4 or MPEG2?

Also do saorview TV's (if I were to buy one) also have the capacity to pick up UK digital channels?

If you only get the Saorview radio channels and not the TV channels you probably have an MPEG-2 TV. Also have a look at the specs in the manual for MPEG-4.

Saorview MPEG-4 TVs are backward compatible with the UK Freeview MPEG-2 channels.

    No.

DVB-T2 tuner required if you want the 4/5 FreeviewHD channels otherwise a Saorview DVB-T/MPEG-4 tuner will display the Freeview DVB-T/MPEG-2 channels.
