When I'm fishing & I get a catch I like to take a pic. When I'm on my own it is a bit tricky. I'm looking for a point & shoot camera that has a function where I can set it to take 5 photos (or more) after 10 seconds.
Found most shops these days don't really know what functions a camera has and the last one I bought couldn't do this.
    Thanks for any advice.

I have a Canon G9 and it has a custom timer function. You can set it to take upto 10shots after 1-30seconds - a great feature that few cameras have.

I assume the newer G series cameras have it, but the G11/G12 are not cheap.

Possibly the other Canon Powershots have the same timer function - called 'Custom Timer'

Put a remote in your mouth? :D

Some Canon Ixus (220?) have time lapse settings.

More expensive than all my fishing gear...

Just checked the Canon website, it looks like most, if not all, Canon compacts have the Custom Timer function, so check them out

Does 'custom timer' mean that after a delay of 10 secs it will take 5 photos? I thought that was just a change in the length of the delay.

The camera I have, Canon Powershot G9, its custom timer allows you to take upto 10 shots after a delay of between 1 and 30secs.

So you can have it take 10shots after 2seconds, or 1 shot after 30seconds, or 5 shots after 10seconds, basically anything you might need.

I would assume that any canon powershot camera would have a similar firmware in the camera, so any Canon with a custom timer could do that.

It's a great feature and I wish my SLR (not a Canon) had it.
