Does anyone have a link to a simple explanation of the college football ranking system.

Is there a superbowl type game at the end of it all?

Was watching it Sat night (stanford v oregon) and its exciting stuff!

There is the BCS National Championship game. #1 V #2 in the BCS rankings.

The rankings are made up of a formula of rankings supplied by all the coaches, the press and based on different computer formulas based on strength of schedule, conference ranking, etc etc.

Long and short of it the national championship game if the season ended now would be

    LSU V Oaklahoma State

and it will remain that wasy if Oaklahoma State beat Oaklahoma but I think they will lose that game)

    So it will probably be

LSU V a one loss Alabama or Oregon. Probably Alabama but Id rather Oregon get a shot personally. Both are likely to finish the season as having lost 1 game each both to LSU.
