"A North Carolina couple is suing AirTran Airways, alleging they were sickened by cockroaches coming out of air vents and storage areas on a recent flight.

Passengers Harry Marsh and his fiancee, Kaitlin Rush, are suing for negligence and recklessness among other accusations after their September 15th flight from Charlotte to Houston shared seats with cockroaches.

Pointing the insects out to flight attendants, their suit claims one flight attendant responded by raising a finger to her lips as if to silence them"

I suppose that its better to see a whole cockroach scuttling across the roof than noticing a half a cockroach on your in flight dinner snack :p

It's also across many of the US broadsheets but I give it to the Daily Mail for their graphic illustrations and readers comments. :p

Cockroaches on a plane, not a nice thing.

Aren't they immune to most insecticides? I wounder how hard it is to eradicate them from an aircraft? (As it was AirTran I assume it was a B737 or B717)

Among the other claims against the airline are intentional infliction of emotional distress, nuisance, fraud, false imprisonment and unfair and deceptive trade practices.Love this shopping list of claims-
I'm sure the airline deliberately booked them on the roach plane.
    "Nusisance"!!,
Didn't the pax chose to fly with this airline?,
Did AirTran actually advertise as a 'Roach free airline'?
