Well, have to change cars in the new year, and have to go back into a compnay car and am gonna do fair mileage (50,000 km) I wanna keep in a big bus and budget is about 36k so a superb combi seems to be a good choice for me. (currently in my own A6)

I'm beteen the 140bhp DSG version or the 170bhp 4X4 manual one any and all opinons welcome....thanks.

What sort of driver are you?

I'd have the dsg myself seeing as it's a company car. Never driven an awd but it could be interesting. The normal superb isn't a drivers car, so an auto box would be just the job. The dsg is a fantastic gearbox

Well, I enjoy driving if thats the question, before babies and dog I had a 328 coupe and an A5. More sedate now though!

Terrible pity you can't have 170bhp, 4X4, DSG. Problem solved. I'd go for the 140 DSG but I'm a fan of the DSG.

How much of that 50,000 km is going to be in stop-start traffic? DSG if it's a lot, manual if you'll be spending most of your time on Motorways and Dual Carriageways imo.

Resale on a manual may not be great but then again (and I'm not trying to be funny), a Superb, while a fine boat, is not exactly going to hold onto it's value in the same way as the equivalent Audi/BMW so manual vs DSG may not matter too much.

It's a company car, so resale won't affect the OP
