Should I buy a Kia Rio?

Sorry, I'm new here, I'm sure everyone hates these threads, but aaaanyway... :p

I'm living in England, about to buy my first car. I want something with in or around 100bhp, fuel efficient, good for driving in both cities and on the motorway.

I've been looking at a 1.5 litre diesel Kia Rio, 60mpg, seems like there must be a catch? My budget is only £3-4k.

Does anyone have any experience with this car, are Kias reliable in general? I also welcome other suggestions about what would be a good first car. :)

That is a nice engine, however the rest of the car is quite basic and old fashioned.
