Installing a radio

I have a Wolseley 16/60 and for some months the radio has not worked, or perhaps the speaker. Could anyone recommend a shop that could install a new radio or repair the existing one. The main difficulty is that it would have is that there seems to be plugs for fewer cables than most modern radios.

How many speakers ya got..probably 1 or 2........try and pick up an old head unit with just power, ground and four speaker wires...Take a trip down to Southside spares in Dun Laoghaire, Earl has loads of old radios down there..
You could fit a modern unit in there but i might'nt look right..but still easy to install..

replace it with one of these.. fits in to the old radio slot, with the 2 pegs for volume and tuning. you can even use your original knobs..

brings you bang up to date and store the old radio in the shed, if you ever need to sell the car on.

there are more more expensive models, but this one is pretty good for the money..

This should match the ambience of 1960s wood and leather....

Thought it might be positive earth as I used to own a 16/60 auto. It had been converted to neg earth, but whoever did it forgot the clock and fried it.

What's the existing one in there? Completely kaput? I dabble in radios, but usually stuff that's a bit newer. Does the set have an in-line fuse?

In-line fuse which seems okay. The set lights up when switched on, but no sound. It might be the speaker, but the wires to that seem okay.
