went to a pilates course last week. really enjoyed it and could see myself doing an instructor course somewhere down the line.

where is the best place to do this course?

I cant seem to find it anywhere from a google search but how much would a pilates instructor earn per class or per week on average?

    thanks

Just get a Pilates DVD and learn all the move/explanations, and practice teaching it like a class. You don't need a qualification - there's no legal regulatory body. You can just "say" you're an instructor - just like I can just say I'm an artist, a photographer, a boxer, musician, etc; as long as you can do it & teach it & people enjoy it, then nobody can say you're not.

I do the Pilates for Dummies DVD at home - that got great reviews on Amazon, so maybe just buy that & learn it.

Centre Studios in Rathmines are very reputable, and as far as I know, run instructor courses and workshops.

I don't think that is good advice.

Being able to do something doesn't mean you can teach it - it is very different skill.

To instruct you would also need insurance, and to get this you need to show that you are an instructor.

A friend of mine did her pilates instructors training in Litton Lane Training. Its tough but she enjoys giving the courses part time.

Also Sarah Mac Laughlin with pilates performance is very good, although be ready for a bit of waffle talk to make up the time. Mat 1 is a weekend course and run in Rathfarnham.

I see the standard cost of NTC programme is 2,195 euro.

If i was teaching say 2 classes per week how much could i expect to earn as a new instructor?

Cost depends on a number of things. Venue being one of the bigger factors.

Its impossible to say how much you could expect to earn as someone starting off with no experience really.

You are probably better off going to few more classes yourself and maybe asking the instructor if you could sit in on ones at different levels before forking out cash for a qualification
