    Hi all. The other day i bought a large jar of pickled gerkins and needless to say they did not last long.
    The jar is still nearly full with the pickle water or what ever its called and i was wondering if i could reuse it by say putting cuecumber in it or onions.
    If so how long should i leave them in it.
    Hope this is not a stupid question.

    I'd recommend straining it and bringing it to the boil before using it again.
