Used to go to LAN's for all night Counter Strike play...have played multiple MMO's for years too. Although I did spend around 12 weeks creating my Hallowe'en costume this year, that probably wins for me anyway.

I was watching a preview for the TV series Pan Am (set in the 1960's).

It seemed to involve a turbulent landing at night by a Boeing 707 (first nerd point-aircraft identification).

As it made it's uncertain landing you could hear the "Whoop Whoop Pull UP" warning in the cockpit.

Such nonsense says I, such terrain proximity warning systems were only introduced in the 1980's.

I realised that that's pretty sad.

In my head, I translate everyday tasks into code as I'm carrying them out. If I order a drink in the pub, I run through the set of conditions until I have my drink. Very annoying but I can't break the habit.

When I first learned to type, everything I said out loud I used to be typing it on an imaginary keyboard just above my straight line of vision.took a couple of years to stop that

After reading the replies here, I have confirmed to myself that I am neither a geek or a nerd.
I do collect dragons and other mystical type ornaments, but that's because they're perdy.

Got all 40 emblems in Metal Gear Solid 4. I had to finish the game God knows how many times but I did it.

Fecking proud of it too. Then my PS3 broke down and my achievement was lost, forever :(.

I enjoy my politics, law, human resource and marketing lectures.

I can quote information from Wikipedia articles on the most inane random subjects; anything from the Secret Service in the States, to Blackholes in outer space, and a lot in between.

I attended a conference for college Thursday/Friday, came home this (well, Friday) evening and the first I did was watch back the inauguration ceremony (which I set Sky+ to record, via the app on my Android)

    :o

I really don't know what my girlfriend see's in me tbh...

Created a wireless network spanning 200 metres between my mates house and my own back in 2001, with USB adapters on the roof and refectors made of cardboard and tinfoil. Pioneerin stuff back then. Pic

Also created a colossal Counterstrike map of DKIT, never finished it though.

    Pic1, pic2, pic3, pic4.

Pretty geeky sh1t right there.

I was a 10 year old geology enthusiast - I collected a magazine and went on 'excavations' with carfully packed geology bag. I still have the rocks - with labels and in a specially made display.

I still don't understand why I didn't have more friends as a child.

Tonight my boyfriend and I went over to his house because his parents were out....
We took his dads tv and xbox and put them in his room so that he could play Call Of Duty while I played Elder Scrolls V:Skrim for 6 hours......

Also I can tell you lots of random pointless facts about Harry Potter that most people would never care to know.

Well she is real... does copious amounts of alcohol count as a drug?
