number of couples seeking to Adopt

hi fokes,
done a qucik search and cant find anyting so if this is alrady up.

does anybody know how many couples in ireland are seeking to adopt or adopted last year??

even a link in the right direction would be great.

The adoption authority would be the place to go to find out how many adoptions were registered in any given year.
They would also know how many declarations were issued
The HSE intercountry adoption services, PACT and the cunamh would know how many families are going through the various stages of the assessment process.

I'm not sure how easily any of the these agencies will share this information though.

The above is the most recent report available online - tables in section two offer details of domestic adoption orders (including family adoptions), and a similar table listing numbers of applicants.

Intercountry figures begin on page 41 but are less navigable.
