I read that thread title wrong. I thought this was about 'adult art magazines'. :pac:

The RAGE is your best bet, though I wouldn't say they sell for cheap. They buy good stuff and sell it for a decent price.

Keep an eye on Charity shops too, they may smell like an old persons sock drawer but every now and then they come up with the goods.
Also, due to the current economic situation we all, except Pyongyang, find ourselves in, there are quite a few "sell your childrens stuff to pay for cigarettes" type places, they seem to be popping up all over the place, there's one in Swords Main St for example.

    HA! I lol'd.

Yeah I see that shop when I go by on the bus. Dont really know any of them around the city though, a hell of a lot of wii's and psp's and ps3's in the window....

yeah I go into one or two Chairty shops but never find anything but everyone else on here seems to find everything. Do I have to get paly with the ladys of the charity shops or something?

Well you can get pally with them if you like, you may live to regret it, being stalked by post-menopausal women who smell of camphor, lavender and wee may not be as desirable as it seems at first.

Rage is great though, it demands you be a bit more careful with your money, as if you are deciding to buy a current gen game, rather than the marker/charity shop where you get a stack of PS games for a fiver.
At least the games you pick up in Rage are returnable of the don't work.

Cheers man, I just always seem to miss out on the stuff in charity shops during the week, stupid working hours. Will have a look around the city tomorrow for a few hours see if I can pick up anything at all.

RAGE is great I know, I used to always go in and have a look, but havent been in a few months, due to all the *bitching* going on here about the place and there prices, which has been cleared up/sorted with those few replies from the lads from RAGE last week, so will have a wee look tomorrow too.

Nothing worth having comes easy... it all depends on how bad you want retro stuff...

I'd advise you do because they're not allowed take in elecrical goods (lamps are magically excluded from this as they're in every feckin charity shop for some reason)

Should someone drop in a console maybe they'd put it aside for you.

I got talking to the manager of a local charity shop one day and mentioned that I was interested in retro games. Atavan-Halen is right about about charity shops not taking anything electrical but on occasion I have been offered old consoles that he would otherwise have to dump. So far it's only been ps2 and original xboxes but one day I'm hoping he'll have a SNES.

Most recently I went into the shop and they had a table full of VHS tapes. I was flicking through them and said Manager came over to me and said he kept this for me; Boxed Earthworm Jim for the Mega Drive for 1euro. Very cool of him I thought.
