hi can anyone give me advice??

so i was offered a sales job 2 weeks ago, im not a sales person AT ALL!!!!! so i said id give it a try even though my gut feeling was telling me different!!!! so i tried it out last week and 2 days this week but i just was not able for it, i couldnt get the hang of it so i said that the job just wasnt for me, i know it takes time to settle into a job but im more office work admin than sales and the stress of this job and sales was actually making me ill (sleepless nights, etc)

i have two more interviews lined up for office work but im just wondering if anyone knows if im entitled to something in the meantime???

i was claiming my stamps before i got this job.

    thanks.

You will be asked why you gave the job up voluntarily. You can be disqualified from Jobseekers payment for up to 9 weeks for leaving a job unreasonably. Lower disqualifications can be imposed.

Whether it was reasonable to leave the job in the circumstances is subjective and will depend on the view of the deciding officer and they do listen to what you have to say. If its the case that you're not qualified or able to do this job, it should be reasonable to leave the job. However in the current climate don't be surprised to receive a disqualification, but it can be appealed and an appeals officer may look more favourably on the position.

Another option if you are that ill from work related stress is to get a cert from your doctor and claim Illness Benefit instead.
