There is an electrician employed by a large company who refuses to do any electrical jobs as he is not a registered contractor and fears he will be prosecuted if anything goes wrong. Should the company pay for his registration, or do these rules not apply when you are doing work within your own workplace?

Yes he needs to be registered as if anything goes wrong he would be in deep trouble, i'm amazed that the company leave him work there if he is not registered as they would be up d ****ter aswell,

No they have not offered to register him. Does that mean he is perfectly entitled to sit on his large derriere?

Suggest the company gets in touch with RECI and/or ECSSA and discusses the matter with them.
