Who to get car insurance with

Hello there. I just said id post this thread to see if anyone can give me some advice as to how i could get a car insurance quote.
My situation is that i have two convictions on my licence, in 2009, i was convicted of drink driving and recieved a two year ban, i have served my two years and recently got my licence back. Also in 2009 i was convicted of driving without due care and attention. At the time of both convictions i held a provisional licence and was 19 years old, i am now awaiting to do my full licence test which is coming up in the next few weeks!

I admit that i was very stupid on the road, and that being put off the road was probably safer for me and other people. but i can say without doubt, that i have learned my lesson.
Quinn direct were my insurers at the time, do i have to stay with them? they refused to quote me on a 1ltr car. Are there any other insurers who would insure me?
Im just looking for some advice, and if anybody could help, it would be greatly appreciated. thank you!

By the way, you're not obliged to stay with Quinn..... There's a good chance they may not even take you on. Chance your arm anyway and call them along with every other broker / Insurer you can find in the Golden Pages.
