Dealer Sticker Rear Window

Recently purchased a car and the dealer stuck a horrendous sticker on the back window which I want to remove.

The problem is that it has been placed over the rear window heat strips?? and I am assuming if I remove it I will damage these.

Is there any easy way to remove it without causing damage? (I live to far away from dealer to return to him)

    Any help would be appreciated..

I've never broken a windscreen element in my life!

Just pull it off gently and you'll be fine.

If you do damage them (you wont), but if you do, you can get conductive paint to repair them. You just scratch off some of the insulation and paint it on.

    What I do:

Tear off as much of the sticker as possible
    Should be sticky glue left
    Spray window cleaner onto glass
Rub the flat edge of a razor blade on the glass in an up-down motion
Stop as the blade gets to the heater element
    Wipe with paper

    Always works

The best, and easiest, way is to gently warm it with a hairdryer and peel off carefully.

Or use petrol on a rag :) it will clean that sticky Stuff right off!

Bring it back to the dealer and tell them sort it out, you purchased a car, not signed up to advertise them for free... :)

Although on a more serious note, I've seen in the NCT centre they use a device that looks like a heated metal-bladed ice scraper to remove the Taxi certs.

I would guess heating with a hair dryer and peeling or maybe use one of those oven-top cleaning scraper blades?
