Private site (PM for access)

Not sure if this is allowed to be posted as it is a website with a forum that i just created on one of those free website tool things. It's basically just a blank page with a forum. So i won't go posting any links yet. Took about 2 minutes to set up so it's no biggie if not.

Anyways in order to see the site you have to be a member. In which i approve. So if this is allowed the scenario would be i'd select a panel of about 5-6 regular members. The number can be decided on. Initially i'd approve anyone that i know posts on boards for a good while and recognize their name. Then for members with less posts the panel would decide. A PM would be sent to myself or any of the panel members and we collectively approve and reject access.

It's not perfect but it's a bit of protection for "tips" like today. Maybe Ade can weight in on this. Everything can be done through PM and there'll be no mention of it on this site. The link need not be even posted.

IT'S NOT HOW LONG YOU'VE BEEN ON THE SITE REALLY. IT'S THE POSTS I'LL CHECKING TO MAKE SURE THEY ARE LEGIT AND NOT JUST 10 RANDOM ONE LINERS TO GET YOUR POST COUNT UP. IF THIS IS TO WORK IT'S GOTTA BE DONE RIGHT. EVERYONE HAS TAKEN THE EFFORT TO SIGN UP AND POST SO I HAVE TO DO MY PART.

Sounds good, exactly whats required for instances such as today, would prevent ''prying eyes'' and as you said you could select members at your own peril.

Well as i said it wouldn't be just me selecting members at my own peril. Off the top of my head i'd stick headshot, yardie, ade, stingerro as panel members. I know i'm probably leaving long standing members out but i'll add everyone that has over a certain post count and posts regularly. The approval thing is more so for someone with 10 posts and wants access.

It's not an alternative to this page or designed to take traffic away from the this site. It's just for stuff like some inside info whether it's a fix or someone is injured. Any sort of bet you don't want any random lurker looking at it.

Well the site is under the visitor comments section on my name. As i said it's not an alternative to this site so it's not getting people to jump ship. Nor is it to generate traffic. It's just a free web page. There's a good crowd here and it's active and in no way is it to get people to post here. Just the initial tip is posted there. No chat or discussion. That will be for the tips thread and live betting thread. This is just to act as an accompanying option to post bets that you don't want the public to see.

If the boards private access forum is approved the other thing will obviously cease to be used.

great idea imo, if the hidden section of boards turns out to be a brick wall. Surely some sort of representitive of PP keeps an eye on this after the Crystal Palace fiasco. One would imagine they'd have learnt a lesson and would want to prevent such an event ocuring it the future.

Maybe not a specific thread, but there were some games in the past when either there was a top inside info published, or somebody spotted bookie mistakes.

Were you using a mobile device? If so look at the link it's trying to load. If it contains a .m in it your phone browser is trying to load a mobile version of the site which doesn't seem to be supported. Just tried it there myself and didn't load. But when I disabled mobile view the site worked fine.

Approved all. Quick search showed all had a good number of posts in the gambling section. It would be mainly just someone that signed up and the first thing they look for is access that would be rejected till a later time.

As i don't want to be seen as advertising a site or promoting an agenda please don't use the other site as an alternative or post up about it by name etc. Use it in conjunction with this forum and refer to it as the private site or something. I just think something like this is easier than posting up about a game, then having the post deleted and all newcomers that missed the original post looking for what game it is. I ended up with 17 pm's last time i asked for someone to PM me about the Gala-Mersin game. Stops a lot of back and forth and time wasting for people to miss bets if a goal is scored etc. As soon as they see people talking about it in the live thread or whatever here they can just go and check one place. No clogging up threads here with the same question being repeated for 3 pages.

Strange. Maybe there's some add on or or a site blocker restricting access. Or even a program that has link checkers enables such as AVG. Or it could be to do with DNS settings on your router. Could need to be flushed.
