New laptops??

I’m looking at buying a laptop not sure never had one before,
Just something I can bring to work or to someone’s house.
Not looking for something small to take away on holiday or out and about.

Budget: 500-700sh

Intended use: Web browsing, games like football manager maybe a RTS (I played Command & Conquer more than 5 years ago is there something similar out?) not WoW or anything like that, music, watching films and sport from the net

Mobility: Not important (screen size not that important either.)

Warranty: if it’s worth getting??

What Operating System do you use windows

So maybe
Intel® Core™ i7-2670QM ?
1GB NVIDIA® GeForce® GT 550M or something ?
4gb RAM ?

Any ideas?

From what you've said, you should look for a laptop with the same specs as that one there except with a better graphics card and your set.

Asus are a solid choice, great build and good price, something like this would suit you to a tee.

The difference in those two laptops is the CPU, the Samsung having a slightly better one. But the difference is very slight as it's essentially the same processor only with a higher clock speed.
You won't notice the difference in normal use.

Other than that, I don't know which is a better built laptop
but here is a review on them so you can make up your own mind which you would prefer.

Samsung (can't find a proper review of this on the site, I think they are still writing it)
If the laptop they reviewed has a difference processor or graphics card, ignore what they about it and just focus on build quality, keyboard, touchpad, screen, case, etc...

^^^good price for what your're getting I suppose but you don't need the half of it. An i5 (maybe even an i3, depending on whatever is similar to comand and conquer, don't play games me), 4GB RAM and as good a GPU as you can get would do nicely.
