    Hi,
Does anyone know of any good hunting (rabbits, duck, pheasant, etc) spots around Dunboyne,Co.Meath??
My friends and I have a couple of good spots, but they are quite small and our hunts tend to last only two/three hours, where as I would be looking for a nice 6+ hour hunt.
Any ideas, even if the location is a good hour away, would be quite welcome.
    Cheers.

Good luck to ya getting lads to give up the good spots to a lad on the internet!!!!:D

Go driving round and look for spots and knock on doors for permission, best way to increse your stomping ground

you will have to drive around and look for your self thats what every body does and then go kocking on doors to get your premissions.

+1 you need to get permission to shoot spots. No-one is going to "give" you theirs, nor could they without the permission of the landowner.

Take a day, drive around and ask/ beg/ plead for any and all permissions. Then spend some time scoping them out, seeing what's there and where.

As you will learn part of this game is seeking your own spots and getting permission. Its a personal thing......

Also approach your local gun club and ask if you can join. Don't be put off if they are not receptive right now as lots of guys like to join GC's this time of year for free Pheasant shooting!! Be persistant so that next year when new members are considered you'll be one of them :D. Try and find out who's in it and befriend them as they can vouch for your character.

Yeah I know of a spot in Dunboyne, its the uncles land! There's a pond in one part of it, we dug out a few years back you could see up on 50 60 ducks on at any time. The place of full of rabbits aswell. I released 300 pheasnts onto the land there aswell during the summer, still great number around, pm me your number and we'll arrange something. You can shoot on it as often as you like, I'll charge you nothing. Actually I think I'll pay you to shoot on it. I'll bring you in for tea when ever your finished shooting, I'll feed your dogs for you and clean your car while your out shooting on the land:cool:

Anything else you need let me no, Cartridges, dogs, guns, common sense etc...
