I ordered a handbag on ebay recently. It was being shipped from china. Today it was delivered by An Post with a customs charge of €16.50. Is there any way of getting that back.

No, unless they made a mistake but the charge sounds reasonable. all info is in the top sticky post

also if it was a fake bag you were lucky to get it at all, customs can seize & destroy counterfeit items.

Why would you think that you would be entitled to a refund of the customs charge that you paid?
