Prepay 4S v Apple store

I ordered my 4s from Apple.ie yesterday but got a delivery date of 2-3 weeks.
I was since talking to a guy in Meteor since telling me they are getting 15 in on Wednesday.
I am debating whether to cancel the Apple.ie order and buy the phone in the Meteor store.
One worry I have is that Meteor won't unlock it for me even if I use over €150 credit. I contacted them today but they were not sure what the rule was.
What do ye think I should do? I am using my mams Nokia 6330 since I sold my 3GS and I feel naked since
