I was looking at his boxrec page and noticed his age at the top. He will definitely get beat now IMO.

Makes no difference. Fight will be closer than people think. No way will it be the three round blowout people are predicting (unless Pac lands a monster shot). Pac should still stop him though, maybe around round 8-11.

This age thing is difficult, it's like he's getting a year older every year!

Age shouldn't matter in this case, though like all boxers it will get him eventually.

Manny is faster, stronger, more comfortable at the weight, younger and has been on the up recently as opposed to Marquez who's on the downward slant in his career.

Marquez is one of the smartest in ring fighters there is, while his powers maybe declining, he still is a tough customer for any fighter. So while he will struggle at this higher weight, he will do better than a good deal of people think because Pacman is a lot easier to hit than Mayweather, and I don't think Pacman is capable of getting him out of there early on.

Slightly off topic but am guessing nearly everyone is watching 24/7. Has anyone noticed how Freddy Roachs health seems to be deteriorating faster over the last couple of years, his movement and speech seem to have worsened. Its tough to watch as he is still relatively young.

of course his age will be a factor....38 is OLD for lower weight boxers who rely on speed....especially as he is coming up in weight.
you could argue that manny has come up from lower weights too, but he does look like he has suited the higher welterweight much better than marquez has when he ventured up (look at marquez's physique v mayweather)...i know marquez has bulked up a lot of muscle for this one compared to the mayweather fight, but i will be very surprised if he retains speed and ability considering extra weight and age.
still, i am REALLY looking forward to it.
