As it says Sony Xperia Play for €143.10 thats €159 less 10% discount code O2COUPON (thanks to pow wow). Theres also a possible €10 back through fat cheese. Serious phone i've been watching the price of these for the last month and this cheper then any of the UK offers.

o2 Stated that their prices are across the board in the talk to o2 thread hear on boards the other day, no difference between o2 online, o2 stores, o2 franchise stores and carphone warehouse.

I think most of the bad reviews are based on early versions of android. The updated version gets much better reviews.the main problems being screen brightness and a HD camera which are fixed in the upgrade

Your reading reviews without all current updates that were probably written when it first came out, sony have said there going to continue to support it and it's getting ice cream sandwich, an amazing phone for that kind of money, if your not a real button gamer I would't bother...can do everything most smart phones can do and more.
It's a psp, ipod, sat nav, phone, camera. Not any other phone like it right now:)

www.gsmarena.com is the site I'd give most creedence to and it gives it an 8.4 customer review across all three criteria. Pretty solid score.

This is tempting me, as I need a new phone and don't really want to splash out on the Arc or Arc S. The gaming side of things doesn't really appeal to me, but I'm sure I could be swayed.

kilkenny update: i bought the only one they had in CPW at market cross, there is none at CPW located in MacDonagh junction shopping center or O2 store on high street, in all places they said there is none in today deliveries but there is a chance that they may have few more before weekend

edit: the one i bought at carephone warehouse is without simlock!

Wow. I managed to flog one on Adverts last week for 230, second hand. I feel bad about it now :S

Great phone, gotta say. I love the Android too. I dunno, just seems nicer than iOS5, then again, maybe im biased. The PS pad on it is great, and the touch pad thumbsticks work great!
