Listening to podcasts through iPhone 4

Apologies in advance if this has been covered in previous thread(s); had a quick scan through the first 5 pages and couldn't see anything obviously similar. Anyway; I'm having a problem listening to podcasts through my iPhone at the moment. Listening to them on my Mac via iTunes is fine; no problem there. However, when I try to listen to them on the phone, every podcast has been speeded up making them almost unintelligible. Any clues out there what to do? Do I need to delete all the podcasts off the handset (without deleting them from the Mac) and sync them back onto it again? And if that is the case, how do I go about doing it?

Turn the syncing off in iTunes, sync, then turn podcast syncing back on, and sync again.

Tried that, but no joy. Thanks anyway.

If you bring up the podcast scrubber bar, is the blue box to right below it set to 2x? If so you have audio playback set to Double Speed.

You are a star! Don't know how it happened and I never noticed it, but it was set to 2x.
