I was there about 5 years ago with a bunch of mates. Its smallish but still has a good few pubs and clubs, plenty of places to get blotto :) I dont know what it'd be like in April, we went in July I think.

A lot of families around, But the theme park there is great fun too, and its a 10 min walk from the town.

    Cheers Mackman

But it is the "family" element that you mention that's making me think twice

All I meant was that during the day there were families about, on the beach, at the hotel etc. more than say Santa Pansa or somewhere like that.
It didnt stop us going on the tear though, Stumbled home at 7am a couple of times :)

I dont want to be rude or anything but who the hell is going abroad for stags these days, staying in Ireland is the only way. Loads of people unemployed and under financial pressure. The last thing they need is a mate thinking going abroad for his stag.

My advice, go somewhere on a bus or train. Plenty of cheap hotels etc around these days for a night or 2 on the beer.

It isnt exactly cheap to go anywhere in Ireland. Travel is still a rip-off and most 'cheap' hotels still dont compare to places abroad.

Depending on the price of flights, Salou could work out cheaper.

Havent been there meself, but two stags I know of where there in the last year and they had a ball.

Personally, Newcastle is the best place i've been on a stag, followed by Galway

Mate appreciate the reply but I think its definitely wrong to assume its cheaper to stay in Ireland

I was in Leitrim on a stag a few weeks ago for just one night
Train €40.00, Hotel €60.00 and Food Drink etc. €200 (at least)
Thats a huge amount of money for one night!

I think as long as you can keep the travel costs down to a minimum and the price of beer is cheaper than Ireland you are on to a winner by heading overseas!
