Warm boards

Hi I am getting a new heating system installed and I am going for gas. I was advised to also get warm boards put up on the outer walls but was quoted €950 for only three walls, which seems crazy money to me. Can anyone advise me, do these warm boards really make a difference? Are they usually that expensive? Thanks
