Tough test for condit, he'll have his work cut out to keep a grip on that title shot..

    Very nice fight.

Totally agree that he has a job ahead of him in keeping his hands on the title shot. Fair play to the guy though for "stepping aside" and then taking a fight like this. I hope he demolishes Koscheck and then goes on into his title shot. Smashing Fighter, he has all the tools to beat Koscheck.

I thought when he stepped aside to let Diaz fight GSP,that Dana White told him he would fight the winner for the title ?

He was given that option but it'd mean he wouldn't fight again till roughly July time making it a full year since his last fight.

    Quite like this fight though.

I dunno, I think Kos has this, he's that bit stronger on the ground and I don't think Condit can KO him as easy as he KO'd Stun gun.

He didn't "step aside", he was told he wasn't fighting. THere wasn't much he could do except agree.

nope. Dana announced Conduit was fighting on the same card.

I'm not sure I like this fight. This is a title eliminator, not a no. 1 contender fight.
As it stands Conduit is No2 contender. He never fully earned the title shot, so I agree with him fighting again, and if he beats Kos, then he deserves to be the no.1 contender.
But if he loses, he obv can't fight GSP next. But neither can Kos. So who does? Fitch?

I think Conduit v Fitch was a better option so that the winner gets the title shot they deserve, and the loser so back to the second tier and works back..

    Totally agree with this.

It'll be a strange situation if Kos wins. Nobody wants to see GSP-Kos 3 and now that I think about it GSP-Fitch 2 wouldn't be much better. The whole division needs a shake up. Hopefully some of the up and comers like Erik Silva, Che Mills, Rick Story and Rory McDonald can break through and make a run at the title. So sick of rematches where the challenger has already lost to the champ and has almost no chance of winning a second or third time around. Time for some new blood.

This is good for Condit if you ask me. If he wins it puts no doubt in anyone's minds that he's next in line for a shot! And I fancy him to win actually!

Under no circumstances for Koscheck EVER get a chance at another shot at GSP. Although he might get lucky here if Diaz somehow upsets GSP and he's impressive against Condit. But the only way Kos os every fighting for the title again is if GSP isn't the champion.

Had a dream that Koscheck Ko'd him in the first last night. Conditions vs Fitch would have been better but AFAIK his wife's pregnant so may see Fitch take some time off.

Fitch vs Jake Shields would be a good fight.

Fitch is booked to fight johnny Hendricks in December!

I thought a Condit v. Ellenberger fight would have been a much better prospect. If Condit wins he proves his worth as No. 1 contender, if Ellenberger wins he gets a well deserved shot at the title. This could be very dangerous for Condit.

    Yeah, I agree.
GSP v Diaz, and Kos v Conduit is the same card. It makes total sense that the two winner fight. With the exception, that it can't be Kos v GSP. If they both win, Elenberger or Fitch get it imo.
