My A4 is very similar to this one:

i.e. a black B6 with grey lower plastic skirts and door blades. I'm thinking I'd like the grey bits to match the main bodywork colour - is it possible to get these sections spray painted to match? I'm not really into body kits, the only one I'd like on the car would be the proper S-line kit, nothing else, but I'm sure that would cost a small fortune. I'm wondering would painting the grey plastics be more cost effective? Anyone done anything similar on their car and how did it turn out?

It can be done alright. Needs a plastic primer. Shouldn't be hugely expensive to get done but as with all bodywork usually the more you pay the better the job!

Thanks folks. I'd be tempted to try it myself, however there's a pretty high probability I'd make a balls of it so I'm not sure I'd risk it.

Any good body shops that people have used around the Meath/Dublin area?

I had work done on my car from the smart repair center in cookstown, tallaght. they are really good, and a decent price, I had to get a bumper resprayed and its amazing, the colour blend was prefect. Plus they can come to you too. They do a call out service depending on the size of the job.
