Fadó, fadó in a land far away lived a boards poster bluejaymraz. She was searching, searching for a way to improve. Here she became familiar with other boardsies seeking a similar goal, I was one of them. Yes, in the Junior Cert forum Bluejay was one of the most regular of the regulars, chatting and helping at every opportunity. A founder of the very successful "JC 2010 Off Topic" which reached 855 pages, most of which was bluejay or her other founder, padocon, who sadly gave up with us after the JC...
Anyhow, the time of the JC came and went and Bluejay felt herself outgrowing this land, she had seen it all and it was time to pass it on to those yet to see and feel. She searched some more, but this time for her new land, with helpful nudges and quotes she chose Clearasil and Hormones. She settled here and came to find her stride and has pushed her way into becoming one of the long term members. Sharing her stories of painful accidents, humorous accidents and just about every kind of accident( :P ) while still being as kind and helpful as they come.
I give you, males and females.
    The one,
    The only,
    Bluejaymraz!!!! :D

By humorous accident do you mean the one where I spilled a whole watercan full of water on top of myself after tripping over thin air?

I may as well add to my list of recent accidents before anyone asks:
I slipped going around the corner in our hallway yesterday (converse + rain makes for some very slippery footwear)
.........And I fell over earlier on after tripping over the edge of a mat that was rolled out in the hallway. The edge ot it was seriously about a cm thick and I still managed to kick it and fall over.:(

    So roll on the questions!

    Hey!

What's the origin of your username?
Well the bluejay part came from some book that I've since forgotten the neme of. I think it was the nickname of someone in the book but I've drawn a complete blank so that may not be 100% true. And well, the second part is just the teeny tiniest bit obvious.

Do you like Jason Mraz? :p
Possibly. Did you know he owns an avocado farm /slightly stalker-ish

    Favourite TV show?
With the amount of CSI (The original and Miami, I've never been a huge fan of New York) I've watched over the years, I could probably plan the perfect murder but I'm gonna go with Criminal Minds

    Favourite movie?
I can never pick a favourite movie because I can never remember what ones I've actually seen :o. But wwe were watching "The Blindside" in French and it is a seriously awesome movie so at this moment in time I'm gonna go with that.

    Do you like to read?
I have always been a bit of a bookworm. From my bed I can count about 50 books in my room right now, including a pile of 5 on my locker.

    If so, favourite book?
I can't really pick a favourite book either because I forget that I've read so many and there's a load that I love for different reasons but I'm gonna go with "The Book Thief". I only read it because I'd seen such rave reviews of it practically everywhere, it definately didn't jump out of the shelf at me and I usually pick book based on how the outside looks (I know, I know judging a book by it's cover, shame on me) but such an amazing story.

What's your favourite subject at school?
I used to really love geography but lately it's been boring me to death but thet's probably because we're only on the whole eatrhquake/rock/plate movement thing. So I'd say it's a toss up between Biology and Accounting right now. English isn't too far behind though. (This is hugely subject to change)

What do you want to do after school?
No clue what-so -ever. But shure I've got at least this year to come up with some sort of notion about it, and with my indecisiveness I'll probably end up in a biscuit factory or something like that (not that there's anything wrong with biscuit factories....I do love my biscuits.

    How do you relax?
Music/iPod, read a bit and the odd baking spree: I made a mean chocolate orange cake a while back.

What's your idea of a perfect day?
Hmmm, with the way my life goes, no day is ever perfect. So I suppose that the perfect day would be too perfect. So I'm gonna say that the perfect day is also the imperfect day /Philosophical
    :)

Ah the good ol' days :') It was justa really nice place, the whole atmosphere was great, and all the posters there were seriously awesome (many of them still are). It was really nice knowing that we had such a large group of regular posters, you could practically predict who would be the ones who you'd find stil posting there in the OT at 4 in the morning (I may have been guilty of that......)

    Favourite artist?
Again, I really can't pick just one, I've got so many that I love: Bon Iver, The National, Paramore, Coldplay, OneRepublic, The Killers, Mumford and Sons, Noah and the Whale ........to name but a few....The list is practically endless

If you could attend any concert (money isn't a question, dead or alive) who would you see?
I'd love to see The Beatles for some reason, I think all those hours in the car going ot various places with them playing on the cd player have finally got to me......

    How's fifth year going?
Not too bad, thanks for asking. It's really weird though being in a year full of completely different people and only knowing about 4 people in each class. But that's what TY does to ya. I seriuosly don't know how I'd deal with the LC if I was in 6th year right now.........But you'll be grand like.

    Can you play any instruments?
    Yeah.

If yes what? If no what would you like to play?
Piano, grade 5 will be the death of me. I have periods of loving it for a while but at the moment I'm in a hating kinda mood, looming exams always do that to me. I'd love to be able to play the guitar though aswell, my brother happens to have a his old one in his room so I might rob it from there and have a stab at learning it.

    Any strange/ random talents?
I'm practically talentless, unless you'd count cauing myself injuries/mishaps a talent.

But here's a random fact about me that some people may find a little weird: 2 of my toes (the 2 beside my big toes) on each foot are webbed (as in joined together further up than the average persons) :eek:My dad's are the same too. It's never actually bothered me though, I think they look more normal than normal people's feet tbh. And another related fact, Ashton Kutcher has webbed toes too!

    How's midterm been?
Fairly boring tbh. I didn't really do anything at all. I've been the epitome of a recluse for the past week.

I do love me some lasagne.

    Drink?
To get this out of the way before anyone asks, I hate tea and coffee, I know, I know, how can I call myself Irish at all!
But to answer the question, you really can't beat an ice cold can of Coca-Cola, especially on Chrismas Day. We usually end up drinking about 4 cans each every Christmas Day (Sorry for the mention of Christmas but I just had to mention it to fulfil the answer)

    Dream job?
I actually don't really have a dream job, I'd say if I did then I'd at least I have some goal and have an idea what I wanted to do with my life.

Nope. My paranoia just seriously got the better of me. So note to anyone else: Never leave me alone in a house at night time.

Do you keep in touch with many JC 2k10'ers?
Well a load of them post here in C&H (i.e. your good self, deise, M&S*, Colm, Ally and then there was Noel, soccy and jumpguy so would you count that as keeping in touch?

I'd never actually thought of that! But no it's from som eother book (a series of books if I remember correctly)

You like Lasagne? Whenz'it your Dolmio day?
I think you mean "When's 'a your Dolmio day?" :p I'd make everyday Dolmino day If I could.....

    Are you devastated that Johnny got voted off X Factor last night? ;____;

What would your menu be if you were on Come Dine With Me?

Ideal dinner party guests? (can be dead, alive, fictional...)

    Do you have any pets?

    Favourite pair of socks?

    Are you devastated that Johnny got voted off X Factor last night? ;____;
Yes and no. Yes because it meant that Frankie got to stay when he should have been sent home weeks ago. No because I was starting to get just a bit sick of him going on about his love for Gary Barlow the whole time.

What would your menu be if you were on Come Dine With Me?
I'd probably start with some kind of soup, it wouldn't be thick and lumpy though like most vegetable soups, it'd have to be fairly runny because I can't stand really thick soup with big lumps of stuff in it or I'd start with these Spanish yokes that are basically puff pastry with chorizo and cheese inside, that are sooooo amazing and fairly straight forward to make. Then main, probably some kind of chicken because chocken is the onl meat theat I am guaranteed to like everytime. I'd love to do some kind if chinese thing with it. My brother has made some pretty awesome chinese chicken-y things with peanuts and cashew nuts all stir-fried together and it was pretty awesome so I'm sure I could manage that. Desert.......I'd probably go with that chocolate orange cake with a helping of (ice) cream because the chcolate was a little overwhelming......all made in individual portions of course.

    Do you have any pets?
No. :( We used to have a yorkie (the terrier not the chocolate bar!) called Marco, but he died about 4 years ago because he had a whole load of health problems and was like 14. My brother'd got him for his confirmation when he was about 12 so he was around a veyr long time. The dog was older than me at the time!!

    Favourite pair of socks?
People actually have a favourite pair of socks?!! Most of my socks are black in some way, either for school or most of y everyday socks are black with colourdy patterns on them, I've been planning to but some non-black socks for a while now but I've never just got around to it. So for a favourite pair of socks I'm gonna say my hiking socks 'cos they're a kinda pinky-purpely colour and the bottoms of them are really padded so when you wear them without any shoes it feel like you're walking on clouds......:)

There's a serious lack of questions going on in here lads (and lassies)

Let me set the mood. About 14, the lighting is low, beating away.
Mother walks in, I do a massive gasp and pull the duvet over myself, a second too late.
"Uhhhh...................................... What do you want for dinner?"

    ...who are you?

Took me a second to work out who you were! Another name change I see.
    Yupik wrote: »
Have you any nieces/nephews? If so do you love them or are they annoying?
Yep, 1 niece. She nearly 1 and a half and is actually the cutest thing I've ever seen. Any time she sees me sitting down she comes over and actually drage me off the chair/seat/whatever, I usually think that it's because she wants to bring me simewhere but as soon as I get off the seat she climbs up onto it and sits down!! Seriously cute though <3 apart from when she woke me up the past 2 nights crying.

    Favourite Ben and Jerrys?
It's been ages since I've actually had any so I can't remember any of them very well but whatever one has kinda strawbery bits in it was fair good as far as I remember.

Is X Factor way below par this year?
Most definately. It's actuall dreadful compared to most years. :(

    XF: UK or US?
Haven't seen any of the Us really so I'm gonna have to say UK but it judging by this year I might actually say neither of them.

    What countries have you visited?
England, Scotland, Wales, Sweden and Denmark (if that even counts because we only landed there and then drove into Sweden so that's more of a passing through than a visiting.....)

Any idea what you want to study in college?
    None what-so-ever. :(

    Favourite subject in school?
I've a feeling I already answered this so I'm not gonna say anything here because I will totally contradict myself.

    Favourite thread on boards?
    This one obviously!

Have you ever wondered whether sea monkeys are real beings or just a trick of the mind?
No.... but now that you mention it I;m sure they're real in some dimension or other or some alternate reality or something like that, y'know like the place in the Simpsons where Bart goes into another dimension and gets sucked in through the wall and ends up in our actualy world.

What are you asking for for Christmas?
Not a clue yet either but possibly a new phone seeing as my other one has a very dodgy battery and keeps turning itself off after 4 years (I can't believe I bought it with my confirmation money, that makes me sound so young.....)

    Favourite Jason Mraz song?
Seriously tough question. I can't pick one so I'm going to go with "Wordplay", "Geek in the Pink" , "Details in the Fabric" an the old reliable "I'm Yours"

    Favourite song this week?
I've heard practically no music thi sweek, the only song I've listende to is Skinny Love so I suppose that would have to be a favourite.

    Best performance on the EMAs?
I've only seen Lady GaGa's, Bruno Mars' and Coldplay and I wasn't really paying attention but I'm gona say Bruno Mars' because it's still stuck in my head.

Come Dine With Me, Ireland. Good or bad?
Mediocre. There was only probably one really good week, I think it was the first one that head yer one who said she was Italian but lived in Cork and was actually from here (Mullingar) and was just from the Italian family that runs one of the Italian chippers here.

The guy who talks on CDWM, or the guy who announces the names on X Factor?
CDWM man all the way. Dave does come out with some witty lines alright. And come one, you just gotta love a funny line more than just a voice.

What is your choice of reading material in the bathroom?
We don't tend to actually read stuff in the bathroom. Although some time last year I won a book on Irish history of a law exam we did in TY and that ended up in there for about a month, I don't even know how it got in there in the first place. I just saw it sitting on top of the wash basket one day.

    Favourite shower gel?
I don't think I have a favourite, I just tend ot use whatever kind is hanging from the shower and I think it's ussually some kind of Radox stuff.

Lidl/Aldi/Tesco/Dunnes/Superquinn/all other retailers.. what's your favourite?
Depends on what I'm buying. Aldi and Lidl have theeeee most amazing chocolate ever so I'm gonna go with them. And the cheapness is an added bonus too. .....I'm known for being extemely stingy with my money, but I suppose that what you get for having a mammy from Cavan......

Do your parents have pictures of you from primary school hanging on their walls?
Well there's the cimmunion and confirmation photos of course.Just the one actual photo with me in uniform though. It's of me and my brother when he was in 6th class and I was in 1st. It's one of those ones taken by the photographer who comes and photographs every single child in the school either on the own or with their siblings. There's a slightly bad looking backdrop of like a woods and a field and then there's an actualy wooden fence thatwe're leaning on and my brother has his arm around me and I have mine around him. Obviously we did not do this willingly as a display of affection, we were forced to pose by the photographer. :(

What's your newest favourited video on Youtube?
I haven't used my youtube account on months so I honestly couldn't say. I've just not bothered signing into it to look at stuff. I've just fired ahead from the main page.

What's the latest book you read?
The last one that I've finished was "The Book Thief". The one I'm currently in the middle of is "Brixton Beach", don't ask me who it's by because I don't have a clue.

Do you despise people who say .com at the end of their sentences?
I've only started to notice people doing this about a week and ago. The answer is yes. Seriously though, why would you say that!! It makes no sense at all.

    Fun fairs.. epic or not?
Well it depends on the fun fair itself but mostly epic btu usually very costly and I've already said how much I love to hold onto my money.

Favourite attraction at a fun fair?
Dpends what kind of mood I'm in and what the chances of me getting sick afterwards are tbh.

Do you prefer attractions (rides) that go really high and are fairly normal speed, or ones that stay low but go extremely fast and in circles/upside down, etc?Hmmmmm, I'm gonna say low and fast because I don't exactly deal with heights the best, I'm not scared of heights like I can do them but I do go at tlittle weak at the knees if I have to go really high. But I can't do upside down either.

If you had a brown fish with orange dots, what would you call it?
    A brorange.

    Favourite line from Mean Girls?
I'm drawing a complete blank on Mean Girls quotes right now but if "she doesn't even go here" was from it then I'm gonna say that one.

Favourite shop to buy clothes in?
Has to be Penneys. Again with the stinginess of me. But all their clothes are so puuuurty. :)

Do you think you'll emigrate when you're older?
I'd love to move ot Australia or somewher like that because I've got a thing about Australia but I probably wouldn't actually go. I'd back out at the last minute knowing me.

    You are correct.

If I'm correct: What games do you play?
Usually ends up being Call of Duty because it's always what my brithers are playing. And after the psn was down for ages and they gave awat te free games I became a little addicted to Infamous. I used to love Ratchet and CLank until I got stuck trying to defeat some villain or other. :(

    Any pet peeves?
A whole load that I can't think of right now beacuse I is tired. Me is very tired indeed. :(

    Favourite time of year?
I actually love winter, probably more for the fact that it contains Christmas than anything else, but there's just something about it that I love.

    Earphones or speakers?
50/50. If I'm at home alone than speakers but if I'm surrounded by people earphones.
Do you make scrambled egg with or without milk?
    With

Describe (or show us!) the most embarrassing picture of you!
I don't tend to have many embarassing pictures because I used to run from camers the whole time. But I suppose you could say that all of my pictures up to about 3rd year are embarassing because the gap between my front teeth was so humongous.

    Lights on or off?
For sleeping: off. For everything else: on.

I have this cool bracelet thingy that my friend got me a few years ago and I took it off for the first time in September for my debs and I did a **** job of putting it back on and the string that you tie is really long and it's annoying me all the time. Do you think I should just put up with it or cut it off at the risk of not being able to put it back on should I take it off again?
Couldn't you just leave the string but take th ebracelet off and put it back on properly (or get someonw else to tie it)?? I t can't be that difficult a job can it. / logical thinking

Do you prefer shopping by yourself or with others?
    Usually with others.

What is your "my life sucks, i'm so depressed, i wanna die" song?
Don't really have one because I don't exactly get that depressed very ofthen . I'm a pretty optiminstic person at the best of times.

Pre-drinks before the pub or not?
Haven't made it over the age-limit yet.

    Michael D. yay or nay?
You mean the vicar/minister/priest from Postman Pat? Michael D. = meh. Minister = yay

    Tampons or pads?
    *averts gaze*

What tabs do you open straight away when you go online?
Usually boards, facebook, youtube, google. Depending on how much time I have and how the internet connection is faring.

It is 1933. You are in Berlin, Germany. Somehow, you find yourself in a position where you can effortlessly steal Adolf Hitler's wallet. The theft will not effect Hitler's rise to power, the nature of World War II or the Holocaust. There is no important identification in the wallet, but it will cost Hitler forty Reichsmarks and completely ruin his evening. You don't need the money. The odds that you will be caught committing this crime are less than 2%.

Are you ethically obligated to steal Hitler's wallet?

The odds that you will be caught committing this crime are less than 2%.

Are you ethically obligated to steal Hitler's wallet?
What goes on in your mind??
But shure why wouldn't you steal it! I'd feel a bit like Robin Hood doing it, although it mightn't do a whole lot for the plight of millions of peopleand he might not even notice it's disappearance but yeah I'd say I'd have to do it.
