    Heres hoping! Worried about Marveaux's work rate in comparison with Obertan*. Also Guthrie is an accident waiting to happen, he did have a decent shift at stoke though

    *that said im not convinced by Obertan and have seen very little of Marveaux

    Very close. It will take something extraordinary for Everton to get back into this now though.

    Yeah, decent game in fairness.

    Dunno, they have had their chances so far.... Luck certainly on our side so far, this is never a 2 nil game

    Not a hope in hell. We've about a 1% chance of taking a point, that's it.

    Yikes, No cabaye, no Tiote, just in time for the big 3 :(

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 28,710 ✭✭✭✭Paully D

    It just proves how much confidence plays in football when a team containing Ryan Taylor, Danny Simpson, Danny Guthrie, Dan Gosling and Leon Best are doing so well.

    International break coming up so they'll probably be back.

    Dan Golsling? Barely played this season, Guthrie has had one bad and one good game, Taylor is the most protected LB in the league, Best, hmmm, no excuse there

    Don't get me wrong, you have a tactically astute manager, a team that works hard for each other for 90 minutes and play an aggressive and direct game with two genuine wingers and two hard working strikers, but confidence does play a big part too IMO.

    Agree completely, choice of players i disagree with though

    Look at Colo and Best, 500%* of the player they were 2 seasons ago

    *Might be a slight exaggeration

    Confidense always plays a huge part in football and Newcastle have buckets of it at the moment.

    @GeorgeCaulkin
    This has been an enterprising half of association football. The scoreline will not remain 2-0, however, unless it does.

    :)

    Not a surprise, 2:1, shocking defending, great header
