Joe Duffy springs to mind, I made a humorous remark in an earlier thread saying he used to be cool and trendy but It got me thinking that despite what people may think of his views, the guy has a voice for radio, distinctive and easily recognisable!

....whose 'dub-el-lin' posturing changes depending on whose he's crapping on to. Still not as GB used be though.....horrendous stuff.

I'd say Ronnie Drew but anytime I think of his voice I always hear him saying...

"My Dublin, available in four fruity flavours"

Not so sure about the voice, but I have to admit he is a true maestro of the pseudo-heartfelt sigh.:D:D:D

    Dermot Crowley and Jim Norton.

(You'll know them best as Bishop Brennan and the priest in Father Ted who smashes all the furniture because it's shoddy workmanship).

A lot of top class actors playing buffon's on that show.

    Cathal O'Shannon, died recently

Very distinctive voice but I always thought it was a very annoying voice.
