The other half already has a pair of black Uggs (brand) & has a birthday coming up. Was thinking of getting her a pair of the brown/tan bearpaws.

Are these available anywhere in Dublin to see before buying & where's the best value for them ?

    Thanks

you can buy Ugg boots in most high street shoe shops these days. Schuh definitely stock them, and you can look at the online store too :) Fitzpatricks and Office also stock them

TK Maxx have them, 39.99 and 46.99 depending on which length you want them - theyre in tan, dark brown and black...I know I sound like a TK Maxx freak!

I have rocket dog sugar daddy boots, they are a bit like Uggs but more streamlined IMO

As said before, TX Maxx always have them in they usually stock two different types. I prefer the ones with the "proper" soles on them. There are also a good few American shoe shops and amazon.com that sell them and they can work out cheaper buying that way as opposed to TX Maxx. Another one is www.shoecity.com, they have loads of different colours/styles.

Thanks guys. Are these as "good" as uggs ?

find the bear paw & emu boots much better than uggs tbh. as someone else said the bear paw boots with the "proper soles" are awesome bought some a few months ago & love them :D

I have Bearpaws, on my third pair because I wear them to death (including through a North American winter where I walked in them every day), I find them much more durable than Uggs, the suede isn't as soft so they're much better at fending off stains, they're warm, comfy, and you can get them for about €50 in TK Maxx.

What are the "Proper Soles" & what should I be looking out for ?

Also, how does the sizing compare to Uggs, do I need to go larger or smaller or same?

my bear paw boots have soles like these ones:
    http://www.squidoo.com/bearpaw-dream-boots-for-women?utm_source=google&utm_medium=imgres&utm_campaign=framebuster
    as opposed to:
    http://cn1.kaboodle.com/hi/img/2/0/0/fc/d/AAAAAhF89T0AAAAAAPzSoQ.jpg?v=1209944217000
they're thicker & I'm hoping will give me a slightly better grip on ice / snow :)

size wise, I'm a 4 99% of the time & my uggs / bear paw boots are a 4 but my emu boots are a 3...

Saw the Bear Paws in TK Maxx Stephens Green on Tuesday. They had a gorgeous pair in really dark green. Not in my size unfortunately! Had loads of black, brown and tan.

Should have updated this. I got a pair in TK Maxx Blanch the other day. €53 for the 12" leg in light brown (she already has black UGGs). They had a good selection but there were a lot of girls trying them on (this was a tuesday morning, so I've no idea what the weekend would be like).

They have the thicker sole, but don't have the patch at the back, rather they have a paw "scorched" into the suede.

I just got some Bearpaws. Can't believe the quality for that price. They're the same as the Just Sheepskin boots I got last year for over 100 quid. They feel like heaven!
