    To summerise, it claims that LIT (or cardio as they call it) is just as effective at burning fat because the calories burning after HIIT are cancelled out in comparision to LIT because you can do LIT for longer and therefore burn more calories. It then goes on to say that you will burn more in a week because you can do LIT more often. Thoughts?

    Agree. It doens't really matter.

    Plus as far as I know, all the HIIT studies are done in isolation, on people who aren't dieting or doing other training, thus are not applicable to people doing other training and on a kcal deficit due to recovery and a whole host of other issues.

    I havne't read the articles cos I think the dude's a chump, but if you've summaried it correctly, I'd tend to agree.

    HIIT is more fun tho, and it is reputed to have a better hunger blunting effect. so while there's no real metabolic advantage, it can help weightloss indirectly.

    Its all about mixing it up and keeping it interesting. Can anyone imagine doing HIIT session 4 times per week for a year? Not without breaking.
    But these articles aren't helpful as they look at a hypothetical situation that suits the writes POV. I could write one on the benefits of walking for 2 hours 4 days per week and how its more beneficial for fat burn.
    But hey, we're all friends here. Good to shoot the breeze.
