    hi guys

    im bringing herself out on monday for a meal and im wondering if anyone can recommend somewhere nice.
    i dont really want to go with pub grub and the park restaurant is closed mondays
    dont mind travelling a bit so any suggestions?

    Arklow is very thin on the ground for quality Restaurants. Yes Bates in Rathdrum is a great restaurant, there's another in Aughrim called the Stonecutter.

    'The Park' in castle park is my favourite place in Arklow. Bates in rathdrum is very good too. They would be equally matched for quality, but Bates is more expensive.

    Kittys has reopened under new name "The Loft". Haven't been yet but the reviews look good - see below. Apparently same chef who used to be in Stonecutter - which was excellent in its day.
