    Hi,
It's about time I framed and hung some photos at home.
I got some some great ones from Ikea a while back for 8 by 12" photos with a mount & frame for €9.99.

This time I'm looking for frames with a mount for regular sized photos. Not sure will I got with 6 by 4" or 7 by 5" yet. The idea is to put 'loads' of family photos all over one or two walls/up the stairs.

Something like this from Ikea but dont' know if I want such a thick/deep frame.

I'm in Galway so somewhere relatively close to me would be preferable but not essential. I'll be in Dublin in December.

    Cheers,
    Pa.

    Hi,
I have a thread here about wanting frames for photos to stick up at home.

Just wondering if you have a lot of photos up at home do you have matching frames, photos ordered neatly or scattered all over the wall etc.

Just looking for a few ideas and maybe some photos of your walls before I do it myself.

    Cheers,
    pa.

I have matching frames in different rooms. Buy them in Ikea or woodies, that's all.

Black square wood frames, or white square wood frames (Well rectangular, but still no beval kinda thing) or sometimes a dark brown, can go nice - all with a simple black or white mount, none of that extra 'bling' and only good quality frames! (I'm very picky :) )

I will be going to Steve (stcstc) and getting a number of images mounted and framed (different shapes and sizes)

I haven't told steve this yet .... but plan on getting a decent number of images printed, mounted, framed before christmas.

    yea thats me

andat the moment i am bonkers busy, not that i am complaining

there are 2 sides to frame design

stuff that compliments the work in the frame, and frames that compliement the envioroment they are being displayed in

recently i bought some 75% recylcled moulding for frames

they are pretty decent but quite cheap, almost ikea prices

for example i can do a 20*16 in the moulding for 13.50+vat which is pretty cheap

    just another point

when designing frames for images, the design of the frame is as important as the image, if you want a good presentation
