I think my ps3 is dying

Havent played it for ages until Uncharted 3 came out so I could be wrong but in the cut scenes its stopping and starting

Does that that sound like the ps3 going to the spirits in the sky or the game?

Sounds more like a problem with the game disc, but it's hard to say for sure until you try other games/movies.
