Just watching this now, does a regular comedy sketch really belong on a serious political show?
It's really getting in the way at this moment in time, I wanted to here more from Pearse there!
Also why do they seem to be constantly focusing on the the likes of Ming Flanagan and Mick Wallace. I know the reasons why Mario picks them, we all do, they're not your average politicians. Although I'm not sure it will negatively affect their status, Marios takes offs of Bertie served as great PR for the ***.
I don't find it that funny either actually, even though I usually enjoy his gift grub sketches.
Does anybody think it's just out of place on this show?

The Labour guy was actually funnier!
He looked very sorry to have appeared on the programme at the end.

I dunno - if you took the show seriously you'd lose your mind really you would. What was it, Tuesday night?, Justine whatsherface was describing assets and liabilities as "high finance, for machos only...". You get more coherence out of Midday.

I changed channel pretty rapidly - Family Guy was over on 3e. But the Labour guy looked pretty unhappy.

I guess you can spout and make ridiculous economic remarks when you aren't in power - I guess it's part of the political game they all play.

It's grim when you know anything at all about the subjects they claim to be speaking about. It's like having a computer expert who insists he's using Internet Explorer on his iPad. It's so wrong it's just funny...

Lighten up. Jesus like there isn't enough going on without us getting annoyed at laughter!

Serious? Some night he's going to have Clare Daly mud wrestling with Constantin Gurdgiev.

Edit: and I'm not referring to the sketches :D

Mario was hilarious last night. The sketches only last for a few minutes, you might as well complain about the ad breaks interfering.

I don't know why the op wants to hear more from Pearse unless he is a huge fan of fantasy fiction.

No way - Mario is great. We need more Mario and less Vincent! The Conor Lenihan sketch from earlier this year was a masterpiece. "Back off Vincent"!!

Good show but comes on a little late for those of us who have to be up for work in the morning.

I like it he tries to squeeze too much in at the end as he loses the run of himself during the program bickering over some point. He should have the sketch in the middle of the show.

Depending on who you talk to it's right wing, left wing, pro FF, pro FG, pro SF, out to get Norris, Gallagher, Dana and Mitchell. I think the only thing they haven't been accused of is making a decent comedy show.
