Just wondering if there is any massive difference in the calorie count among Irish craft beers either between themselves or against the bigger brands. I know Coors is suppossed to be a low calorie option but it is also a low grade option and tastes of pish.
A low cal angle would be a good selling point for any decent beer

They would be all around about the same per unit alcohol (i.e. a 9% beer will have about twice the calories as a 4.5% beer).

A dry beer means almost all the sugar is fermented out, so it is lower in cals per unit alcohol than a sweet beer. Some pilsners will be quite dry.

I read coors use some enzymes or something in coors light so it almost completely ferments out all carbs/sugars

I made a long post about booze & calories etc here ages ago http://www.boards.ie/vbulletin/showpost.php?p=57902740&postcount=10
