    Dublin Bus wishes to advise customers that due to a required upgrade to the RTPI system there will be no RTPI information available this evening for approximately one hour between 21:00hrs and 22:00hrs.

    This will affect;
    • Dublin Bus and Transport for Ireland websites,
    • on-street display units,
    • iphone app
    • text messaging service

    Dublin Bus apologises for any inconvenience caused.

    There are about 5-6 hours from midnight to 5-6 am that no buses run, why can't this kind of thing be done then rather than affecting customers?

    Probably wouldn't matter what time of the day they'd do it, the website is still down this morning.

    On-street displays seem to be working.

    Because skilled IT staff charge A LOT for out of hours. I'd be looking at 3x or 4x to do a midnight to 8 callout. Many people I work with won't do weekends or evenings under any circumstances.

    Most likely cause they didn't use skilled ones either way.
