After wedding party with children?

We're getting married abroad and looking for somewhere to have some drinks in Dublin when we get back, somewhere in city centre to accommodate 120-150 ppl, but - we'll have young nephews & nieces with us.

So far most hotels and all bars say that kids have to be out of the place by 9 or 10, (Licensing laws) which is making things very difficult.

Maybe we're missing something but surely there's a way around this? We just dont want to have to send the kids+parents home at x o'clock.... Any help/obvious suggestions welcome!

The last wedding I was at had a cinema room for the kids where they showed vdeos ect. I kindof thought it was common practice for hotels to offer kids supervised entertainment.

You could hire a babysitter if you were doing it in a hotel. Have them take the kids to a room and entertain them. Bit trickier in a bar.
How would the hotels get round it if you were having a wedding reception there though? There's often kids at weddings...

I think it's something to do with if there's a full meal being served then the kids can stay. I know at my own wedding the kids were still up giving it socks on the dance floor til the DJ finished at 2am! There was no stopping them!

I am sure if you booked a function room with some food, then any hotel in the city centre or outskirts would only be too happy to accomodate
