    Might be worth holding off for a while as there is a new model i30 being launched early in the new year. This will effect resale values of the current model.

    Kia cee'ds in the uk are dirt cheap and are a nicer car imo.
    1.6 petrol available there too, same tax as 1.4 from 08

    Not sure why those links dont work but they are the 2 1.4 models in Cork from same dealer.
    1.4 suits better as she is insuring her 20 yr old and it would prob be cheaper than 1.6

    Cannot imagine there being alot of 1.6 litre petrol models about, very little demand I'd say. Given the country's facination for low motor taxed cars the 1.4 petrol might be easier to sell on than the 1.6 in a few years too.

    1.6 is referring to the Kia. Can't see the 1.6 being harder to sell than 1.4 given the tax is the same at 302
